Nature of the Platform

TuqueTCG is a peer-to-peer facilitation platform that connects buyers and sellers of trading cards in Canada. We do not buy, sell, inspect, authenticate, or ship any cards ourselves. All transactions are conducted directly between users. TuqueTCG is not a party to any transaction and bears no responsibility for the quality, authenticity, legality, or delivery of items listed on the platform.

Trust & Verification

To help minimize the risk of fraud, TuqueTCG requires sign-in with Google so every account is tied to a real person. Users can also link their Facebook reviews page on their profile — for example, their reference thread from a group like MTG References Page — so buyers and sellers can verify each other's track record before transacting. While these measures significantly reduce risk, they do not eliminate it entirely. Users are responsible for evaluating the trustworthiness of other users before completing a transaction.

Limitation of Liability

TuqueTCG is not responsible for any loss, damage, or dispute arising from transactions between users, including but not limited to: counterfeit or misrepresented cards, non-delivery or lost shipments, payment disputes, or any other issue related to a transaction. By using the platform, you acknowledge that you transact at your own risk.

Dispute Resolution

If a problem arises with a transaction, either party can open a dispute through the platform. Disputes are personally reviewed by the TuqueTCG administrator, who will communicate with both parties to understand the situation. If the administrator determines that a user has acted in bad faith — such as selling counterfeit cards, not shipping items, or engaging in fraud — that user's account will be banned.

If a user involved in a dispute does not respond within 14 days, their account will be banned. We take disputes seriously and aim to resolve them fairly, but our decisions are final.

User Responsibilities

As a user of TuqueTCG, you agree to: provide accurate information in your profile and listings, ship items promptly after payment is confirmed, communicate honestly with other users and with the administrator during disputes, and not use the platform for fraudulent or illegal activity. Violation of these responsibilities may result in account suspension or permanent ban.

Intellectual Property & Trademarks

TuqueTCG is an independent, unofficial platform and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or associated with Wizards of the Coast LLC, The Pokémon Company International Inc., Ravensburger AG, Bandai Namco Entertainment Inc., or any other trading card game publisher. All card names, game names, logos, artwork, and trademarks are the property of their respective owners. Card names and images are used on this platform solely for the purpose of identifying products in peer-to-peer transactions, as permitted under nominative fair use. Reference prices displayed on the platform are sourced from third-party providers and are provided for informational purposes only.

Counterfeit & Proxy Cards

TuqueTCG has a zero-tolerance policy for counterfeit, proxy, replica, or unauthorized reproduction cards. All cards listed for sale must be genuine, officially produced items. Listing counterfeit items is a violation of trademark law and will result in immediate removal of the listing and permanent suspension of your account. If you suspect a listing contains counterfeit items, please report it immediately.

DMCA & Takedown Policy

TuqueTCG respects the intellectual property rights of others. If you believe that content on our platform infringes your copyright or trademark rights, you may submit a takedown request. Your request should include: identification of the copyrighted or trademarked work, identification of the infringing material on our platform, your contact information, and a statement that you have a good faith belief that the use is not authorized. We will review and respond to valid takedown requests promptly.

Prohibited Listings

The following types of listings are strictly prohibited on TuqueTCG: counterfeit, proxy, or replica cards of any kind; mystery boxes, repacks, or any listing where the buyer does not know the specific cards they are purchasing; non-card items unless directly related to trading card games; stolen goods; and any items that violate applicable laws. Violation of these rules will result in listing removal and may result in account suspension or permanent ban.

Subscriptions & Billing

TuqueTCG offers an optional paid subscription. Free accounts include unlimited listings, unlimited buy list items, and the ability to sell up to $250 per calendar month. Subscribers ($7/month or $55/year) get unlimited selling with no monthly cap and real-time email alerts when buy list items match new listings. After exceeding the $250 monthly selling limit, free sellers' listings become hidden from search until they subscribe or the next calendar month begins. No listings are deleted. Subscriptions are billed through Stripe on a monthly or annual basis. You can cancel at any time and will retain access until the end of your billing period. No refunds are provided for partial billing periods. TuqueTCG reserves the right to modify subscription pricing with advance notice to existing subscribers. Our goal is for prices to go down over time, not up.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
